There are a number of working groups within the Parish Council which will be detailed here in due course.

The Portal Woodlands Conservation Group was formed in 2000 to conserve the woodlands which lie west of the Suffolk Police HQ and alongside the A1214. Volunteers meet each month to work on a variety of projects. These have included planting trees & hedges and repairing the second world war revetments within the wooded area. Anybody is welcome to join this local friendly group, all training and tools will be provided.
